Encouraging & empowering people to take the first step towards this traversal, The Searching Souls is a Haridwar based adventure travel company that delivers a comprehensive range of experiential learning based travels & treks to a wide spectrum of audience. “Travel gives us time to think, learn new things & meet new people besides introspection and understanding different perspectives. Saint Augustine once said that the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”

With a believe that little changes can create a big impact, The Searching Souls envisages to deliver a responsible & soulful travel experience & diminish the ‘buzz travel’ tradition that decimates the concept of learning essence & travel health from travels. Giving back to the environment & the community, this organization is one of the few that follow a zero waste policy & employ local talents & businesses to furnish their travel needs like guiding, food & accommodation. The use of trash bags ensures litter free tours while the use of local home stays & heritage houses helps the villagers generate some income. Being both cost-effective & mutually beneficial, these measures enable the firm to furnish spectacular services without compromising on quality.

OUR STORY

One fine day two engineers and an MBA who had been trekking in the Himalayas for the last 8 years decided to break free from their monotonous jobs. Each one was working in one of the best companies of their respective domain. Then why did they choose to quit? The answer was simple, it was a passion to follow their dreams, yet the choice was indeed difficult.

They always wondered why people were not happy with their jobs, so they took a leap of faith to make a difference. They let go of the chains. Trekking always taught them the lessons of life and they believe it can help many others too, so they formed TheSearchingSouls. As the name is self explanatory, Join us for some Soul Searching experiences in the Himalayas. This is the story so far.

Vishal Choudhary

CO-FOUNDER, OPERATIONS AND LOGISTICS

“Still water runs deep”

This proverb perfectly describes our Co-founder Vishal. He opts to remain silent but not to forget that people with most of the knowledge are often very buttoned up. He is a very tranquil person, for the love of driving and bikes he loves to travel along.

He is an MBA Graduate and has worked in Digital Marketing for 2 years, intending to handle each and every situation in a very windless manner. After quitting his job he completed his mountaineering course from NIM, Uttarkashi. He belongs to a small town from Kumaon region, so the love for the hills comes up with the blood itself. Very often trekkers give feedback about his jolly and calm nature.

He strongly believes in the policy of Hard work, so he has given his whole heart to the core team.

Devasheesh Pant

CO-FOUNDER, BUSINESS EXPANSION AND BRANDING

“It is always the same with the mountains, once you have lived with them for any length of time, you belong to them. There is no escape.”
This line perfectly sums up the love towards the mountains by Devasheesh Pant, apart from being one of the co-founders of the franchise, he is a pristine photographer and his work has often been featured in renowned platforms like Times of India. A mechanical engineer turned mountaineer after completing his mountaineering course from NIM Uttarkashi. He quit his job after 5 years of experience in the automobile industry working at Mahindra Automotive, as he always wanted to return to the mountains. He is a hard core animal lover with special affinity towards dogs. He loves to go on long rides and loves to explore new places.

CO-FOUNDER, BUSINESS EXPANSION, SALES AND MARKETING

“The resolution of quitting my job was never a cakewalk but somewhere at the back of my mind I always knew that my heart accords to the mountains”
He abodes from the hills of Ranikhet, situated in the lap of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. A mechanical engineer by back ground, Shubham quit his job from Mahindra Automotive, to go back to his roots – the mountains. Apart from his affinity for exploring nascent places, Shubham owns several patents in automobile industry registered under Indian Patent office. His strength includes challenging conventional thinking and looking for an alternative solution in everything. He loves to cook and often spends time writing songs and creating music.
